Purpose of the AMP Livestock Expo Experience
A very high percentage of our Agriscience Magnet Program (AMP) students are many generations removed from production agriculture (farming and ranching) and have never experienced owning or raising a livestock animal. The AMP Livestock Expo provides this option for our students to gain first hand knowledge of livestock care and animal husbandry. To our students, the AMP Livestock Expo is a time for them to step into the show ring with their livestock project that they have invested months of care and showcase their skills in front of family, friends, and our community.
